FEATURED PROJECT
The Adirondack Park is beautiful and something very special, as those who live and visit here will tell you.  So in that spirit,we at
Adirondack Customs LLC. would like to bring you all something beautiful and special to look at.  It will be different at least once a
season. Just like the Adirondack's that we call home.
Completed: Spring 2016

Location: Schroon Lake, NY

Description: This was a great project. From the start the homeowner was great to work with which was
a huge benefit to us. The front deck needed to be fixed structurally and be reinforced.New decking,
railings, and stairs were also needed on the front and left side of the house.  The right side deck
needed the same, but the homeowner also wanted it converted to a screen porch with timberframe
construction.

The homeowner chose decking, stairs, and railings made from a Brazillian wood known as
Cumaru(Brazillian Teak), which is a very dense and hearty wood.  It is also insect, mold, and mildew
resistant naturally.  Strength and durability of the Cumaru are hallmarks of this beautiful wood that
resembles Mahogany in performance and color, but with a smaller price tag.  Once put in place it is
treated with Timber Oil to seal it.

The choice materials paired with the craftsmanship brought to this project by Owner (Kevin Stonitsch)
and the crew at Adirondack Customs have made this a space that is not only beautiful and durable, but
one that has become the favorite place for the family to gather for years to come.
Completion Date: Late Summer 2016

Location: Old Forge, NY

Description:    This was a special project. The clients dock had been severely damaged by ice and
wanted a replacement dock designed and built to help prevent the dock from being damaged by ice
again. Working with local and state authorities (town, county, NYSDEC, Army Corps. of Engineers, APA)
was no small task. Many different criteria needed to be met.

Once our team designed a new dock in house that met the clients needs, and fit the criteria of all
agencies involved,Adirondack Customs got to work.  We removed the old damaged permanent dock
system in short order thanks to the hard work of our experienced crew.  The new removable portion that
can be taken out of the water seasonally was the solution to what our clients needed.

The dock system install was a complete success being completed much shorter time span than the
deadline that had been set.  This dock will get a lot of use during many summers to come.
